International Trips

Makuhari, Japan – 12 – 25  Sept 2016 

In September 2015, 12 Berkley students accompanied by Mr Lorentz, headed off on their educational adventure to Tokyo Japan. The students has an amazing experience, and the exposure they had to Japanese culture and custom was unforgettable. The students were hosted by families from Makuhari and fully immersed themselves in the local community. The trip to Japan is offered to students on a yearly basis and applications for this trip for 2016 have closed. Keep an eye out for information regarding this trip in 2017.

OPC –  2017 (date TBC)

Each year a group of students travel to the Sir Edmund Hillary Outdoor Pursuits Centre based on Great Barrier Island where they experience a range of challenging activities, specific to the environment.

Entry into this programme is through application. Information about applications for 2017 will be available in Term 3.

Noumea –   11 – 18 Nov 2016

In 2016 a group of 13 Berkley students accompanied by Miss Frogley and Mr Leith spent 10 days in Noumea on a French cultural education experience. The Noumea trip is a wonderful opportunity for students with an interest in all things French, to experience the language on a first hand basis and interact with locals.
